1 year budget on an R03

Little asked 6 years ago

Does it matter if we specify modular or detailed budget when the budget is only for one year?
The max is this R03 is one year with a budget limit in direct cost of $150K.

The use of a detailed budget versus a modular budget is dependent on the Program Announcement (PA) or the Funding Opportunity (FOA) Number. For most NIH proposals, the modular budget should be used for any proposal with direct costs less than $250,000 per year.   Please email your team to determine which budget is needed for your specific FOA or PA.
Please see the SPA website for more information about modular budgets, http://www.umaryland.edu/spa/budgets-and-expenses/nih-modular-budgets/. Also see the NIH website for more information, https://grants.nih.gov/grants/how-to-apply-application-guide/format-and-write/develop-your-budget/modular.htm.
