How does a PI access the certification questions in Kuali Research?

There are a few pathways to get to this section. If the PI logs in through the UMB portal, they will need to navigate to Kauli Research, choose the “Researcher” tab, and find the proposal. Once in the proposal, they should navigate to the Personnel section and click on their name to expand that section. Once this is expanded, the certification questions will appear. After they have answered all the question, they must hit save at the bottom of the screen.
There is also a direct link for KR in which it’s not necessary to log into the UMB portal first: https://umaryland.kuali.co/res
Once logged in, all of the above steps are identical.
Finally, if the PI received an email that certification was needed, the email should link will directly to the Personnel section within KR to certify the proposal.  This will only occur if the PI has previously been logged into KR.
